In the Room
the room was very grimy and sleezy/ dirty. there was a cigarette burn on the blanket/ cover. The room smelled like smoke (non-smoking room)
The price was cheap.
It was nasty-dirty. The room had stains on the walls and smelled of cigarettes. All of the furniture and carpets were old and worn. Scary neighborhood. Police issuing warrants in the morning was a bad sign. And there are tacky signs all over place saying what you can't do. Including notes to the staff to not eat the continental breakfast. The "breakfast" consisted of 4 muffins. They were out of everything else.
Since I'm traveling with a car, the location of the hotel is easy for me to get around and it's not too far from the downtown. Also, I find the price pretty reasonable.
The manager of the hotel doesn't seem welcoming.
Inexpensive hotel, pool is good
Hotel requires immediate total refurbishment (which is planned apparently) breakfast is very limited, would not recommend until refurb happens
Only stayed overnight with no desire other than a bed and a hot shower. Didn't explore the hotel or the neighborhood, so can't really offer any informed comments.
Showing it's age, been awhile since last updated.
The free wi-fi claim was disappointing. I stayed three rooms away from the lobby and could not get service, but as soon as I stepped into the lobby, I got reception.
It was quite and clean.
I didn't get the king size bed I requested which caused my husband and I not to be able to sleep very well being in separate beds. That was the only problem I had there; however I didn't understand the breakfast, there was only muffins and coffee.
It should be condemned, our room had the worse stench present. Filty from age, abuse and neglect. Heater/air did not work to adjust temp as knobs just turned from being broken. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee, oj and pastry. In a very skeptable area of the city. Got to hotel at 11 pm with my son and friend. Tried to find another hotel without luck as National ffa in the city. Lots of traffice at 11:00 pm in and out of hotel that did not have luggage. As we tried to find a different hotel desk clerk informed me that this was the best hotel in the area and the other 2 hotels close were drug infested. From what I witnessed so was this place.
This was a really bad experience at some point there had to have been a cat tht webt to the bathroom in the floor. The smell was awful. This was a nonsmoking hotel however our bed had ashes on it when we got there. I also found a visitor in the bathroom in the morning and left early due to that. I didn't want to bring any home.
The price and closeness to Indianapolis.
This was not good. My confirmation states ' Meal Plan - Dinner is included in the room rate'. It was not. The main reason I chose this hotel was the inclusion of the meal in the price. The first room they gave me had the air conditioner laying on the floor (out of the wall). Only 1 ice machine worked in the entire building. No hot water on my second day there. A person cleaning carpets warned me about leaving my motorcycle in the parking lot - that it could be stolen. So I ended up chaining (yes chaining) it together with my son's motorcycle each night. This was not what Booked.net promised. I feel that I deserve a refund - or at least a certificate for a 2 night stay at other Choice Hotels.
They moved me to the other room because first one was dirty and smelled urine after my request and returned money when I left after 1 night instead 3.
The street number does not appear on the navigator, just the street. When I've reached the street and called to the hotel they have sent me to the opposite direction. When I called again because I was driving this area twice looking for the hotel, the receptionist said she is too busy to help me. I stopped at the gas station and the guy explained me where the hotel is.When I finally arrived to the hotel after 5 hours driving from Ohio and one hour driving around and along the street I've seen why the receptionist was busy : she was happily flirting. Another person checked me in; the room was stinky (urine) and dirty. I requested another room - there was no urine smell at list and in the morning I checked out and moved to the friend's house.
1. The add on the internet said there was a complimentary dinner. The receptionist said that they were not honoring that any longer. 2. THE HALLWAYS SMELLED VERY BADLY OF MARIJUANA. 3. THE ROOM WAS SMELLY AND DIRTY. THE DEAD BOLT DID NOT WORK ON EITHER DOORS. ( THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE ) 4. THE BED WAS VERY NASTY. THE BOX SPRING WAS OBVIOUSLY FALLING APART. 5. THERE WERE SEVERAL STAINS ON THE BEDDING AS WELL AS THE MATTRESS. 6. THE ADD SAID THERE WAS CABLE IN THE ROOM AND MY TELEVISION ONLY GOT 12 CHANNELS. 7. THE OUTSIDE DOOR DID NOT WORK WITH THE KEY CARDS 8. THE POOL WAS VERY DIRTY AND CLOUDY.
Staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous
The room had a very unpleasant stench. Found that same stench down in the hall by the only working ice machine leading me to believe is is water damage and quite possibly, black mold! Carpet by bathroom door was threadbare, Shower leaked down backside of the shower head, putting very little water flow on the person in the shower. Tub has stains that made it look dirty. Vomit stain on carpet by night-table that had splashed onto the box springs. Only 3 tiny pillows for king sized bed. If you're going to use tiny pillows, should have used 4, better option is 2 king sized pillows. Bottom sheet was not a fitted sheet which caused bunching under my body because they moved whenever I turned. The hallway was horrendously hot near the pool area. The room AC unit was coated in dust on the vent slots. The carpet in the hallways was disgustingly dirty. The entrance doorway upper casing was falling down causing the door to stay propped open and creating a safety hazard for tall people. The entire building is in dire need of upkeep, maintenance and renovation for all the areas reeking from water damage. Due to these issues, I could not, in good conscious, ever recommend anyone stay here, no matter how great the room rate is.
It was a place to lay our heads.
Everything, staff was rude, indoorpool was broken down and could not be used, very dirty and run down building. Our room was dirty, run down and outdated. Breakfast provided in the A.M. was nothing worth eating. Very disapointed, would never go back!
No water pressure in shower Said Wi Fi...didn't work Pillows very small tv very old and small Booked.net said allowed dogs did not!!
